Forum Support Mike J Posted October 23 Forum Support Posted October 23 Walking test for us older folks. I am going to try this and will post the results. It would be interesting to see other forum members do the same with age and time.
OnMyWay Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Where is the lookup table? Seems like most people who still have a decent walk could go faster than normal for that distance. Perhaps that is accounted for? My legs have been very painful recently but I have a long stride and can go fast if needed. One Tuesday, I spent 3 hours outside cleaning out our new backyard and making sure it would drain in this storm. Moved a lot of construction debris out to the main debris pile in the front yard. Due to my bad left hip I have to do an awkward pose to pick things up off the ground. I was able to avoid that most of the time by using a shovel, but still did it a lot. When I was done, I was in pain! Yesterday I hobbled around like an old man. Very painful. Still spent the day putting up curtain rods.
OnMyWay Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Also, I wonder where they get the baseline numbers? Is it by country? In Europe they walk a lot so they would be much better than the U.S.
