What is OPS?

There will be a VIRTUAL ANNUAL REPORT which shall be available 24/7 including holidays to all registered foreign nationals present in the Philippines during the annual report period who are holders of valid visas. The annual reportee under the virtual annual report shall register thru
https://e-services.immigration.gov.ph and pay the assessed fees within the day from the issuance of OPS thru Maya or Gcash, Credit (Visa/Mastercard) and Landbank. Otherwise the annual reportee will request for the re-issuance of OPS thru their existing BI e-services account.

I was wondering the same.  I think, no sure, it means online payment service.

So if we do the online virtual report are we still required to report in person?   Philippine directions/requirements sometimes drive me crazy. :571c66d400c8c_1(103):

If that was the case then who would bother with the virtual report?

I wonder if you have to do both?  As @OnMyWay said, it is clear as mud.

What in the guidance makes you think both may be required?

1 - Mostly because this is the Philippines and directions often are unclear, contradictory, or make no sense.  2 - Also the words "IN PERSON" are in bold type.  3 - As far as I can tell Section 10 of Republic Act 1950 as amended" has not be changed/modified to allow virtual reports.

I posted the following question on the BI web site.  Will advise the forum if I get an answer.

<snip>Can expats do the annual report via the web this year, or do we still have to report in person?<end snip>

I guess the IN PERSON is bolded as they simply regurgitate the same notice each year and just change the dates - the virtual report section has obviously just been tagged onto the existing notice.  Clumsy, yes.

If it's not possible to do virtual reporting then why would they include it in the notice - that would really make no sense!
