Wrapped Tesla CyberTruck

Still ugly?

This M-speed place in Pampanga seems to do a good job.  If I decide to keep my Trailblazer another 5 years I have thought about trying a wrap.  Hopefully the pricing is coming down, as there is more competition now.

Here is a question. I have always been told that you should never paint a car a new color here. That the paperwork involved it just insane.

If you "wrap" a car, since you are not changing the base color, does that count? Is there any paperwork with the LTO?

Yes.  Happened to me who made the stupid mistake of repainting a dark grey Toyota into white.  Had to hire an agent and it took nearly four months.

The wife and I thought, very briefly, about changing the color of our X-Trail.   Decided it was not worth the time and trouble.  Repainted the same color.  Here in the province a lot of mechanical and repair work is done under the shade of tree.  I was more than a bit worried when we went to check status and give the guy money for paint.  It ended up being a very nice paint job.

Back to the OP.   It is primarily the shape of the cyber that I find unattractive.  I can't help but think that the people who bought them did not want a utility vehicle.  They wanted a vehicle that said "look at me".  The wrap itself looks great, but I am not a fan of that color.

Doesn't matter how they paint them, they're still cybertrucks.

Tesla dealers won't even take used ones as a trade in...

I do think the Chinese knock off looks better though.

I'm surprised they can pass modern 'pedestrian safety' regs, with all those sharp angular front (likely pedestrian impact) edges . :89:
