VPNs and Which Really Do What They Claim To Do

I've been following this guy for a while.  He's a privacy advocate with an interesting background.  Anyway, he released a video on VPNs and which ones he trusts.  I found it highly informative:

I recently switched to Proton prior to watching this. It offers a fair bit for the price.  I was on Winscribe, but I'd noticed it slowing down recently.

I have ExpressVPN for some machines and SurfShark for some others. I have found Express to have issues - at least on my laptop... it stops and then is a hassle to fire it up again. Surfshark was mainly so I can have a USA phone number - and that works brilliantly...so far. Crystal clear phone calls and no issues. I may have to give Express the boot soon...

Interesting video. I’ve using PIA (Private Internet Access) for years. I didn’t know they got bought out. I think I’ll be taking a closer look at Mullvad and Proton.

I used to have Express VPN and Surfshark but I dropped Express as I was having issues with it, so far my 'backup' VPN has been doing what I need so I haven't needed to look for another VPN.

I use Windscribe, too. I have been looking at Proton, also. How do you like it?

Good so far, faster than Windscribe with more options in the countries I tend to connect to.  I went with the Proton VPN Unlimited option; it doesn't have the mail, cloud or password generator, but I use other apps for those anyway. 10 devices active at one time, I normally have 2 or 3 at most, and AM uses my account as well on her phone and laptop.  Hasn't been an issue using Prime Video, Netflix or BBC iPlayer, but that may change -  That sort of thing is a constant game of cat and mouse anyway - once reported, they fix it right away.

I don't see torguard in the pic. Rated #1 by torrentfreak last time I checked. I'm on a plan, 3 years for $66, including dedicated IP. It renews at the same rate too, not like Nord that renews at their highest rate. That's why I quit Nord.

Why do people believe any video they find on YouTube, etc?
