Same here.  It is nice when the only problem is trying to decide what you want, amongst countless great choices

I have been entertaining the idea of a cooking class vacation for the wife and I.  We both enjoy cooking and I am sure we would love the opportunity to learn the correct ingredients and procedure to cook Thai and/or Vietnam food.

My wife and her sister did the half day class and they both absolutely loved it.   They made 4 different dishes, to include homemade curry paste.  Prior to cooking we stopped at a market to learn about all of the local ingredients, then did a tour of their organic garden to discuss, taste, smell the ingredients being used.

Segue to the next day at one of the markets, I videoed a guy masterfully cooking our oyster omelettes, but the video was too large to post (the oyster omelette was only 100 baht, same omelette cost me 24 dollars in the US 2 years ago).

Interesting tidbit (or at least I thought so), as I was doing some research on the unlikely chance we will move here, I discovered there are about (maybe more) 20,000 Filipino teachers here in Thailand.  I knew there were quite a few, but I never would have guessed that many.   The lady that cut my hair today told me that many of her daughters teachers were Filipino (or many at the school her daughter attends)

Some private schools are all English, but the Thai public schools have an English class, which is where the Filipino's come into the picture.

Seeing the clean streets:  case in point, there is a market right outside our airbnb every saturday, it attracts in thousand and thousand and THOUSANDS of shoppers, with about 700 stalls.  They close an entire street... the next day walking to get coffee, you would never know there was a massive market going on 10 hours prior.   Going through the grocery stores (they have literally EVERYTHING you would need or want...  Our Grab driver today has 3 Airbnb homes, two are rented long term the 2 bedroom house is 12,000 baht a month (21,700 pesos) and his 3 bedroom house was 21k Baht a month (38000 pesos).  Includes wifi, water, electricity etc... and this is an Airbnb!!!   My wife and I cant think of any reason not to move here vs staying in the Philippines.  couple pics:
