MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday warned the public against circulating fake “inspection notices” sent to various businesses.

“These notices have been used to demand money in exchange for avoiding inspection or penalties,” the PDEA said in a statement.

“The public is hereby warned against the circulation of unauthorized or fake PDEA Inspection Notices being sent to various business establishments purporting to check compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Program,” it added.

No.  The logic here is giving cash to unauthorized personnel reduces the amount of cash for officials.  It's the classic, "I already gave at the office."
