Popular Post Rooster Posted January 7 Popular Post Posted January 7 I'm impressed, particulary because it was during the holidays. Dropped off my application to renew my US passport with the courier on Dec 16, 2025, LBC delivered the new one and the previous one with hole in it on Jan 7, 2026 (22 Days). https://ph.usembassy.gov/passports/ 6

Joey G Posted January 8 Posted January 8 It's not a miracle... passport service has improved a lot in the last year... some things have improved. They are doing it faster now than at ANY time in the past... and regardless of the "news"... TSA lines move faster... and clearing Customs (for US citizens at least) is smoother.

This was my renewal in 2024. I think less than one month is normal unless there is an issue. Reporting back. Sent old passport to embassy via LBC on Sept 4. New one delivered back to me today, the 28th. 24 days.

Immigration uses facial recognition technology which takes about 10 seconds. No Customs inspection. Maybe random checks and interviews every 25 to 50 passengers. We did not bother to renew our Global Entry card because the same technology is being introduced at all major international airports. 1
