OnMyWay Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Last visit to this S&R Pizza. My review on Google below. We just needed a quick dinner for the kids. 3
graham59 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Congrats for giving them a shout-out. If I want to be served almost inedible garbage, I'll continue to cook my own...at home.

JJReyes Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Inedible was my reaction to a Lander's BGC pizza. I gave the pie to the security guards at our building. They seem to enjoy it. What I heard from friends is the cheese used is made for an oil blend rather than dairy.

Tips that I have found useful. NEVER order a pie when they first open, NEVER order a pie during the lunch hour rush. But get real guys! Any pizza, and I mean ANY pizza from SnR beats balut or cold pancit. 1
Forum Support Tommy T. Posted February 21 Forum Support Posted February 21 Interesting and sad experience you relate, @OnMyWay. As @scott hjust mentioned your experience may vary. Just last week, I ordered several pizzas to go to L's school for her department and especially for her student teachers who are really helping her out. It was sort of a pre Valentine's Day gift that they all enjoyed. L reported (and brought home a few pieces for me and I concur) that they were much improved from previous pies. There were lots of toppings and spread evenly about and the sauce was tasty and more than wishful thinking. There was plenty of cheese too. I am guessing they are the same price everywhere and the combo's that I ordered were P699/each, plus I sprang for cheese stuffed crusts for an extra 125/pie. For what she got, it was the best value and quality for the money around here. Urban Pizza's are better tasting with more sauce, but half again more expensive and their toppings are rather sparse, although good. 3

The one at Harbor Point has always been iffy and we rarely go there. The one at Pure Gold Duty Free has had it's up and downs. For a while, they would leave 2-3 inches of crust exposed around the edges. I'm convinced that management has directed staff to save money on the cheese. The last time we had a pizza at S&R Dau, it was very good. Our usual pizza has been Pizza Hut for the last 10 years. The kids like it and the price was good. We always got the 2 large pan pizza for 679 special. That started at 2 for 499 many years ago and the raised the price a bit over the years. Last week, they changed the menu and the special is gone, with nothing comparable to replace it. The same 2 large pan pizza now will now cost 1279 pesos. So much for an affordable quick meal for the kids. No thanks. I need to find another option.
