The four right hand side LP's are newish.

Roxy Music reissue is great compared to the early (not first) pressing.

Supertramp – crime of the century 50th anniversary is just Okay a good sounding issue is very expensive. The Live in Paris is wonderful if you like Supertamp its worth having.

Wish You Were Here is also a great recording and the box set is worth while.

I don't have a good copy of Crime of the Century or Breakfast In America. I foolishly passed on the MFSL reissues ten years ago.

NICE, have all of them as well.  Love Roxy music, although I prefer their first few, I dont think they made a bad album.     Supertramp is one of those quintessential 70s bands, but what a great unique sound!   Thinking what graced my turntable today...  ahh  Grateful Dead Europe 72, hahaha cant remember what else, I think Cat Stevens Catch Bull at Four, Steely Dan Pretzel Logic.... ahhh and Zeppelin III, which is my favorite Zeppelin album    I rarely play any Led Zeppelin anymore because they were played soooo much way back when.  So when I finally do put one on I really enjoy it.

Live in Paris. It's new very good highly recommended.

Crime of the century and Breakfast in America were poorly mixed originally. Thankfully the recordings are still available on a safety tape.

Both have been very recently remixed for the 50th anniversary half speed master so we know its a digital not analog. They sound better than most early recordings but still have some issues.

I prefer early Roxy music as well. I highly recommend these two recent remasters. Stunning sound kills the well recorded original pressings.

Far left Analog Productions center Abbey Road half speed master (same as the so-so (Supertramp). Far right a first pressing "Avalon".

Sadly like you I've burned out on Led Zellellin as well. Once in awhile enjoy spinning one.

Huge Steely Dan fan as well. Got the recent Asia and Gaucho one steps and all the others on SACD. The one-steps are stunning.

Old55,

Is the stereo equipment that you are now using to play these records new or leftovers from yesteryears?

The Fisher tube receiver to the left is sixty years old. The black phono preamp is a newer Parasound the deck a 40 year old rebuilt modified Linn LP12 with Naim Aro arm. The Fisher 500C is completely rebuilt and has some modifications.

I have a collection of 1950's and 60's vacuum tube amps most I've rebuilt. I cycle them through the living room setup you see in the pictures. Also have two solid state integrated amps a Marantz 1060 and a McIntosh MC2105 I've used in the living room.

We have a high end system in our basement that works as home theater as well.

Listening to Master of Puppets on that set would be pretty impressive!
