I guess I'm still looking forward to when I may get Alzheimer's so I will be able to hide my own Easter eggs?

And you meet new people every day.

Many hotels around Metro Manila offer Easter Egg hunt.  The clientele are mostly families of expats since the custom is not observed by Filipinos.  They prefer family gatherings at home or in restaurants.  My wife and I went to Peking Garden, a Chinese restaurant known for their banquet style dining.  The place was packed and nearly every table except ours ordered Peking duck (PHP 4,200 or USD 70 each) as one of the table's dishes.  Our food was limited to dim sum.

We went to Okada casino on easter Sunday, the place was crawling with younger families with lots of yard apes running around. Ran into our neighbors daughter and her young family. They were there for the easter egg hunt. Admission for the kids was about 3k peso a head.

Yard apes?  I thought they were called 'nose miners' here in the Philippines.

Easter Egg Hunt is a fun event for children.  We took ours when they were very young.  I call it "photo opportunity" with parents shouting at their kids to face the camera rather than spend time hunting for eggs.  Photos taken at the Easter Egg Hunt will end up like your precious wedding album.  You will look at it once and keep it in storage for the rest of your life.
