Where To Eat And Play On Mactan Island

We will be staying at the Hilton Cebu on Mactan from 9/16 to 9/21. We don't really know the island and area. Are there any good places to eat on the island? How about night life... discos, bars, etc... ?

Here is a list of some of the nightlife bars on Mactan Island: Lapu-Lapu BarsHere is another review site: http://www.philippinebarreviews.com/cebu.htmHere is a nightlife forum where you may find answers: http://philippinenightlifeforum.com/index.phpBear in mind these are bikini bars, for the most part. I'm not sure what you and your girl may be interested in. If you want to have a good meal by the water, try the bar/restaurant at the Cebu Yacht Club. The entrance road is across from Marina Mall, if I recall.

IMO Mactan has no real places of interest day or night. The resorts are over priced and the food not that good as far as value for money is concerned. The bars are mediocore. The fun and good food is to be found in Cebu City and a few places in Mandaue. I live in Banilad and has the best concentration of retaurants and bars in Cebu. More down market and "seedy" is the Mango Ave area and Fuente Osmenia circle but tourist rip off area in my mind. The only problem is a taxi from the Hilton will be 200p each way but well worth it - perhaps they run guest buses.

There is a bar on Mactan, called Frolics. It is owned by a guy from the UK, Orlando. He seems like a nice enough guy, and has tons of girls at the bar. It was comfortable, offered a fairly well stocked bar, and the girls were friendly. So, that is one place people can go to, on Mactan. I enjoy it well enough to drive from south of Cebu City, over to Mactan Island.
