 < Dave's Cobra is the best!Well, he brought it over to the front of my garage door....not a very pretty thing, so I said forget the deal.Well, unless he now lowers it to 75 pesos! :540:He said 100. I'm at 80...firm. They are cool looking...they have his mouth taped shut....are these things, ummm...dangerous? :89:Where's an Aussie when you need one? :508:
I would buy it and kill it, so it never gets to grow up. Sorry call me mean spirited but me and poisonous snakes do not get along. I have been told that Cobras can be nasty little critters and the fact that a baby one was found in your neighborhood might be a sign that momma and daddy may not be far away. ohmy.gifto add to my above post The Philippine Cobra (Naja philippinensis) is a stocky, highly venomous snake native to the Philippines. Seems they are not normally found in Davao, so maybe it is not a cobra?
I'm going to have him brought over again today, and take a photo. I'm not a snake expert....the house boy told me that is what it is.
How many legs has it got ? whistling.gif

Sometimes it is really hard to get good information from the web.A few years ago, i found that the cobra found in the Philippines is the common brown cobra.Today, i found several websites referring to the King Cobra being the Philippines I still doubt it. I just don't think King's are here. I think they just call it that. What I'm sure is here has venom more toxic than the King. But the King is one of the few snakes that will charge a human. They are not only defensive but will become offensive if they feel threatened and they grow to more than 20 feet. An article about a bite in Mindanao. Dad looked for a witch doctor for treatment. Since there is no anti-venom here, it was just as well.http://zamboangajournal.blogspot.com/2007/06/cobra-kills-boy-in-south-philippines.htmlResult was death within 20 minutes.I love reptiles, had two boa named Alice and Cooper but I would not have a cobra. Nice conversational item until you can't talk any more.wiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_CobraThis site seems to have the most accurate information but looks rather old:http://www.bangor.ac.uk/~bss166/Taxa/AsNaja.htm
