Update, seems they have the vehicle in custody that they say was used in the kidnap and killing of the poor unfortunate little girl, now I hope the persons responsible have not fled the country already. Ahhh so they found it in Naga, now who do we know who comes from Naga and possibly recently moved there? 89.gif I cannot think of anyone but I hope they catch the piece of garbage who killed that child, but I hope another innocent expat does not end up taking the fall for this horrendous crime. At least they are moving slowly this time. After the setback in finding the killers of six-year-old Ellah Joy Pique, authorities yesterday admitted having under their custody a sport utility vehicle and a new set of cartographic sketches of the suspects.Authorities however refused to give more details in order not to hamper their ongoing investigation into the kidnapping and killing of Pique last Feb. 8. Pique's body was found in Barili town, a southwestern town of Cebu. Senior Supt. Patrocinio Comendador, spokesperson of the Task Force created to solve the Ellah Joy Pique case, said the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) already had the Mitsubishi Pajero believed to have been used by the suspects in abducting and killing Pique.Comendador, who is also the chief of the Regional Intelligence Division in Central Visayas (RID 7), told CEBU DAILY NEWS in a phone interview that the vehicle was confiscated in barangay Inayagan, Naga City last Friday evening. The task force created earlier by Police Regional Director, Chief Supt. Agadier Ontog, and headed by Senior Supt. Louie Oppus, the PRO 7's Deputy Director for Operations and the Officer-in-Charge of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, implemented the confiscation of the vehicle through a search warrant.Comendador also said the task force had a new set of cartographic sketches of the suspects after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sent their artist from Manila to sketch the suspects based on the description of six witnesses they had interviewed. He said the witnesses included a man from Barili who saw Pique’s remains dumped in barangay Guiboangan, Barili town. The witness claimed to have gotten a good look at the suspects and the license plate of the SUV.The complete story HERE And A happier story HERE about Karen Esdrelon’s dreams. I wish them both well and the best for their future together, may any and all problems that life was going to toss at them, now be long behind them, and may they now have a long and happy life together with no other problems ever.

Well there appears to be a good probability that they now have the correct vehicle that was used in the abduction since the license plate was altered to make an M look like an H and they claim to have found blood stains in the vehicle. The sad part is that the owner, a British National is out of the country and will probably never come back to face charges if the vehicle is proven to be the correct one, which of course does not mean that the British National was the driver at the time of the crime, but if he was in the country at that time, then it is probably a good bet that he may have been the one using his vehicle. It is just a shame that they wasted so much time on the wrong people, when they could have arrested the right one the first time and before he may have had a chance to leave the country.DNA TEST FOR BLOODSTAINS

Will these incompetent keystone cops feel shame? Certainly, they would not even apologize because losing face in the public eyeis more serious than what the innocent couple endured. Let's not forget the botched bus hostage crisis, ill gotten wealth by PNPand army generals and the US Navy commander tortured for fighting back at the airport.Jake

Yep, posted as such in another thread. The guy will be out of the country being he had time while the Cebu police did their best work to avoid a bullet proof alabi and no evidence...and I am SURE, positive, he has done this before, maybe here or another cash strapped country, and probably in the UK.Hopefully, they catch this guy in the UK, and the UK which has a great police force and investigation unit, unites with the not quite great or even below avrage Cebu clowns, and they get this loser (not sure why the cebu cops keep saying suspectS)...and he is taken off the streets.

Seems the woman is also out of Cebu and left on the 9th, the same day as the abduction and killing. Seems that she also hired the same lawyer as the original couple to defend her and he is going to try to beat the evidence on a technicality, sad if that happens and if she and the guy are really guilty.Lawyer questions Naga raid; police has ‘photos’ of suspects

Do they have the wrong people again? So the police are asking the couple to stay in Cebu, but I thought the British national was already out of the country? 89.gifIf you’re innocent, stay in Cebu, police asks duo A TASK Force Ellah Joy official yesterday urged a Cebuana and her British boyfriend to stay in Cebu until the police file charges against suspects in the abduction and murder of a 6-year-old girl.He hinted that would be one way for Bella Ruby Santos and Ian Charles Griffiths to prove their innocence “beyond mere statements.”

I don't know Lee, it sounds like another bus hostage crisis going bad. This Senior Supt. Comendador of the police taskforce Ellah Joy should keep his mouth shut as the spokesman. Why can't he wait until the results come back from theforensic lab rather than suggesting to the owners of that SUV to stay in country. Is this turkey grandstanding? Jake

th_thholysheep.gifPinoys are good imitators of the "Spanish Inquisition" style of a witch hunt brought on by the Spanish conquistadors! Blame it all on Magelan who came to the Philippines and killed who? King Lapu Lapu in Cebu was it or was that someone else? I may have mixed it up with Captain Cook and King Kamehameha of Honolulu!mocking.gif SugarwareZ-034.gif

I do not know much about this, but if they are guilty of this heinous crime, then I hope they tie them both down in a open jail cell and let every prisoner in the prison rape the both of them as many times as they can, all day and everyday until they both die.
We have new suspects to tie down and rape now:Brit, girlfriend charged with girl’s murderCEBU CITY, Philippines—Police on Thursday filed criminal charges against a new set of suspects in the February 8 abduction and killing of six-year-old Ellah Joy Pique in Calajoan, Minglanilla, Cebu.Charges of kidnapping with homicide were filed at 10:45 a.m. by the Task Force Ellah Joy against Briton Ian Charles Griffiths and his Cebuana girlfriend Bella Ruby Santos at the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.Griffiths is reportedly in Singapore while Santos is in Makati City. However, their lawyer Ana Luz Cristal earlier said her clients would return to Cebu once the case is filed. The task force, which is composed of different police units, including the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, attached in its complaint the affidavits of at least 12 witnesses, including four children.
