Often you don't get more if you pay more. Most places I have stayed the wifi was useless just about anywhere except the lobby. Clean sheets, no bugs and a television and aircon that works is as much as I expect and I pay the least that will get me that because I'm not buying the place.

Experiencing exactly that this week in Cebu.  We decide to pay a little more, in hopes that higher quality guests will be sharing the hotel with us.  The rooms are very nice here, but apparently the Filipinos that can afford 3500 pesos a night still don't know how to close a door without waking the dead.  :(

Are you able to be an 'agent' or is it direct stuff, might be worth a spot on the site?

No, no one can be an agent for airbnb. It's a site where home owners rent out their property and user airbnb services.  https://www.airbnb.com.au/

Yes did you end up back in that condo after missing your flight home or did you stay somewhere else. We won't mention that reading your flight ticket for times and date is a good thing to do. Glad I did not mention that.  :hystery:

Airbnb is a awesome website. Remember to read the reviws before you book tho. I try to book rooms that have been review by other members already. I used it a few times while in Australia. In Perth the cheapest crappy motel room was 80aud and with the help of Airbnb i could find a room easy for 30-40aud a night. We are going to Manila in june and looking for a condo on Airbnb now. She doesn't want to stay in Makati, so it's kinda hard to find a one i like...

I paid a little more one time to see what it was like and the aircon was a little quieter, there were a couple extra sq meters and mirrors on the ceiling. I would say it was a qualitative change but not much of one. The wifi still didn't work.

Thanks for the great report OUC. Next time I am in Manila I will be giving both Uber and AirBnB a shot.
