Mr Lee Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Seems workers in the Philippines have no right to strike, or maybe no rights at all. :89: So it seems not only foreigners have no rights, locals may not either. Philippine Airlines (PAL) yesterday rejected the offer of striking ground employees to return to work and end the labor dispute. PAL president Jaime Bautista said “there is no turning back” and the airline company is determined to fully implement its outsourcing program. sjp52 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 well if the employees did damage equipment during the strike then they deserve what they get, But who knows if PAL is telling the truth or not
gapotwo Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 i think PAL. is just trying to set an absolute power example, and save face at the same time. but thats just this PINOYS personal opinion on the local ways of doing business in the wild wild east, :89:
