Besides "shoddy workmanship" and obvious violations of building codes, many beautiful high rises buildings

throughout metro Manila are in serious jeopardy of falling like cards when earthquakes become active along

the Ring of Fire. Manila city officials should take note from repeated serious disasters in Japan.

Not only in Manila Jake but here in Cebu ..... we'll see what will happen with a 7.6 or 8.0 quake hits here ...... I hope I'm living in another part of the Phils when that happens ..... plus can you imagine how long it will take to restore power should something like this happen in a major city ..... I don't even want to think about it ....

Yea, this has crossed my mind as well. Not to be negative but I could only imagine the carnage no modern firefighting equipment no real plan it would be epic ugly.
