Usa Internet Content. How Do You Get It?

As you know, there are certain websites and contents that are restricted to only the people who live in the USA.

Take for example Pandora.com. If you live anywhere outside the US, you won't be able to get it.

What do expats in the Philippines do for such things?

VPN, pick a server anywhere in the world and you will be assigned an IP address there. The service I use covers all continents except Antarctica.

Hotspot shield seems to work for me at least for now.

MikeB,

Which service are you using?

Steve & Myrlita,

Thanks! I will check it out.

Actually, I am in the US now and have been using a router that has built in VPN (configuration) which I gave to a Canadian friend of mine. It works but occasionally, there is a hiccup due to, I think, the protocol being used.

When I leave the US, I won't have a lovely friend like myself :hystery: so, I will need to subscribe to some VPN service like the one Steve had mentioned.

I will go with the one that works not the one that promises it will!

I use this but there are many others. The problem with the free ones is all the popups and adware.

Actually, I used them when I was in Sydney once but needed it for a week.

Steve seems to have a cheaper one, Hotspot shield, since it's FREE  Mind you, it costs as an app on phone. But not that much at all.

could someone explain or provide a link( if Forum approved/allowed) that can educate us . in order to access the programs that are not available due to the IP ADRESS restriction
