Pitogo- I Remember You Well!

   Just wondering what the status of the main Highway North at Pitogo- between Liloan and Lacion, is now? Before we left Cebu 3 years ago Pitogo, the only road north out of Cebu at that time, had been potholed like the surface of the moon for at least 4 years with no major repairs. The local Mayor even posted notices saying it wasn't his fault. I'm just curious to know how it was possible for the main and only road North from Cebu could have been left in that appalling state. I well remember the traffic chaos it caused and the way it damaged vehicles. Was it a personal dispute between the Mayor and the Transport Department? Would love to know the inside story.   Chris McG. :morning1:

You would not recognize the area at all.  4 lane road with new surface but the traffic is horrid as there is a new SM mall on that stretch now.  Even the new bypass road through Tayud and over the new bridge to Mandaue is plugged solid with traffic in peak hours (which seems to be most of the day)
