Wow, never wouldve thought I would see the Metro so far down the list, as for India coming out on tops....no big surprise there!

I find it even more surprising that Brisbane is worse than Sydney!  Never seen the haze in Brisbane, but see it almost every sunny day in Sydney.

Cebu is not listed as a major city, if it was then it would be somewhere close to the top with:

The City of Naga monitoring station revealed that the TSP level in the area of 129 micrograms per normal cubic meter (µg/Ncm) in the first quarter rose to 158 µg/Ncm in the second quarter.

Now we could believe the BS that Naga is a couple of km south of Cebu city and has a coal plant so the actual city of Cebu ain't that bad . .  but the nose knows!

I have always wondered why the haze hangs over Manila. Costal city, low mountain on the north and I would have thought the ocean breezes would have kept the smog scattered and diluted by fresh winds.

I've been saying the same thing about Cebu City. I don't know why the sea breezes don't blow the smog out. Sometimes I can barely make out the mountains through the haze. Shame because it would be beautiful scenery.
