rickinphil Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 The Grand Regal Hotel has become our go to in Bacolod for almost 4 years now. Large rooms, nothing fancy, and a good breakfast buffet with eggs to order. Hotel only for P999, with breakfast for two P1400. Good location, not too far from public plaza and SM. Gaisano across the street with a movie theater.
JJReyes Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Looks good. I will give it a try during my next trip to Bacolod City. Good prices. I am making hotel reservations for an up coming trip to California and Nevada. Our plans include spending three nights in Las Vegas to check for investment properties for a Japanese client. I wanted to stay at one of the casino resorts and the advertised prices seemed reasonable. They now have something called, a "Resort Fee" that adds something like $35 to $40 a night to your bill. This is in addition to the sales tax, which is Nevada is now 8.25%. I shouldn't complain because the luxury hotels in Makati add a 15% service charge, a municipal tax and V.A.T. totaling 23%. I have been staying at budget hotels in Makati. I hate it when they add all those additional fees.
pokermike Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 J.J. if you get a Total Rewards Visa card you can stay at any Harrahs(Ceasars) property and you will have any resort fees. they have many properties to chose from , some very cheap. You can ask me about any of them if you like. Plus when you sign up they give you a free all day buffet worth about $100. If you spend $1,000 with the card in thrre months they give you another $100 in credit. Its a great deal, just saving the resort fee. Anybody have questions about Vegas i am your guy. pokermike

jpbago Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Last week, we stayed 2 nights at the L'Fisher Hotel at 14/15 Street and Lacson. It is an old hotel but still quite nice. The main lobby is open up to 5 floors with a good restaurant directly in front as you walk in. There are 4 tables with a built in BBQ grill in the middle where you can cook the food yourself as you like. There is another part to it entered from the back with a fancy restaurant, pool, and gym on the roof. The view is lacking. All the staff are A1. The rooms are old but clean with everything in working order. It is in a good location with plenty of stores and restaurants close by. SM mall is 70p by taxi. There are security at all 4 entrances. It has a 2 floor Pagcor casino on the right side.

Last couple times it has been over run with young Koreans whom tend to be extremely noisy so we are looking for a change. Its P1100 with a very average breakfast but lovely little pool.
