I have heard of expats that beat, choke and often treat their gf's or wives like slaves in the Philippines, and while many of us have no doubt heard that Filipinos sometimes also do these things to their wives, is it ever OK for us to do it? How does hitting a spendthrift wife solve anything? Is it like shaking a tree? If you hit her hard enough or in the right place, does it knock some money out of hiding?BTW...men treat their women like that all over the world, expats in the Philippines don't have a monopoly on that behavior.
