I found a terrfic hotel, which is right across the road of the main ERUF depot. I never saw it before, because it is well off the road. The Holiday Spa Hotel.

Awesome hotel with large pool and great gym. With large rooms.

Very reasonable at about $33 a night.

Only downside is that the "Basic" nightclub is right next door, and the music can be loud on some weekends.

I certainly will be staying here on every visit now.

Just re-confirming. That's the Holiday Spa Hotel on Cuenco Avenue.

My wife and I have stayed at the Marriott Cebu City, but that's too pricey now that our daughter-in-law is no longer with the Marriott Hotel Corporation. She used to get us a family rate for all their properties, also known as the Associate Discount. I have stayed at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino as part of a visiting trade delegation from Hawaii. My wife won't appreciate seeing all the night ladies and their pimps at the lobby. A group was still there at 7:00 am when I came down for breakfast!

Yep that is it. HotelsCombined lists this hotel as a 3 star hotel. I think it is closer to a 4 star.

I found it terribly smoky in there as soon as you walk in the front door. It stinks. Poor ventilation. The rooms above must smell of cigarette smoke too. My wife wore a hospital type mask.
