Why Do Filipinas Still Seek Foreigners As Partners

Back over 18 years ago when I first met my husband, what I would hear is my friends and other Filipinas were looking for men who did not cheat, smoke, drink or beat their wives. So they sought men from other countries in hopes of finding them. I guess that was all an illusion. Since then I have met a lot of foreigners who are boyfriends or husbands of Filipinas and times have sure changed. Maybe all Filipina are not really the dream woman that many foreigners seek and dream of, but many of the foreigner sure do not seem to fit the illusion of the perfect partner that Filipinas seem to have of them. Many of the men smoke, drink and also go out to girly bars, and from what I have heard and seen, some even bar fine girls from there while at the same time they are in long term relationships with other Filipinas. So to me I now have to ask, why do Filipinas bother. Maybe it is time for reevaluation of the situation and if a man does not want to commit, maybe the Filipina should move on and hope to find someone who will. Yes they seek a better life but are they really getting a better life with men who refuse to commit to one lady or to a marriage?

There are a lot of scumbag men of all nationalities so I won't debate the virtue of looking for a foreign or Filipino husband, but there is a reason that women still look for foreigners. If a Filipina marries a foreigner and its a bad marriage, at least she can likely work overseas, gain dual citizenship and improve her and her family's life.If a Filipina marries a Filipino and its a bad marriage, all she gets is 8 kids and a life of misery in the Philippines. I think every woman would opt for a good marriage, but if they happen to marry a bad man, they're likely better off marrying a loser foreigner than a loser Filipino.

Ahhhhhhh .... good post ....... I think these same guys that run around on their Filipina partners wither they are married or living with them would do the same back in their country but given the forgiving or indifference attitude toward faithfulness that most Filipinas have .... they can get away with it ........ remember back in their own countries they would be taken to the cleaners should they get caught ....... here most Filipinas just look the other way at the indiscretions of Filipino fathers ... brothers .... relatives or neighbors as they have their affairs and support mistresses ....... also so may feel it is better to just put up with it rather than go back to a life of poverty ...... Sure there have been cases where the bolo came out parts came up missing but compared to the norm this is rare ...... remember most guys don't start out cheating right away .... most will feel out their partner first to see what their reaction would be before doing the dirty deed ....... Personally I think anyone who has sex with someone else while living or married to some doesn't care about that person at all ...... with all the unknown diseases out there which you could bring home to a faithful loving partner (who gives you plenty at home) you are doing nothing but endangering her/his live for what reason ........ to prove you are a man? ....... nawwwwwww ..... that comes from inside you not how many panties you can remove ....... if you are insecure with in yourself or doubt your masculinity than by all means jump as many bones as you can ....... but don't do it at the expense of someone who loves and takes care of you ....... saying I love you dear at the door of your abode as you slip your rubbers into your back pocket while heading to the bar does not make you a man ...... If you are having a mid-life crises or old age doubtfulness buy a fancy sport car ....... loud clothes or some other way to prove yourself ...... eating Viagra like M&M's and waving your pole around like it a flag on the 4th of July ....... doesn't make you a man ...... it only makes you appear like a horny old goat with a identity problem ...... But in answer to your question ...... I think there are enough secure respectable guys around to make a Filipinas life fun and enjoyable and so the 2%er's don't really ruin it for the others ...... they just appear to .... hahahahaha

I am married to a Filipina who does not smoke, drink or play around. I too neither smoke nor play around but I do drink and consider it a "normal" Kano activity. I don't go to girly bars but prefer to go to real bars to exchange meaningful information with other Kano's although my wife insists this is just "gossip gossip" th_whatsup.gif . My point is that men going to the pub for a few drinks or having a few beers etc at home is not relationship threating and should be acceptable to Filipina wives and gf's in the context of their relationship.

Talking about scumbag foreigners, my gf is updating me on the latest hilarious goings on with her friends annulment. Long story short.American guy meets girl on yahoo. 'I love you, honey. I m a rich american', yada yada etc. So American guy married filipina. American guy tells filipina he has very well paid job with microsoft, (something like 500,000 peso per month plus expenses plus benefits etc), but it wont be starting for a few months. All his money is tied up in america, does she have any friends who could lend them a few peso until it all gets sorted out ? So, one by one all the relations are hit upon, for differing inconsequential amounts in the scheme of things, (because hey soon his 500k peso job will be starting).Magical things keep on being mentioned, (like the five bedroom house in the gated community that Bill Gates et al will be paying for), soon as he hears I and GF are going to Hong Kong, he mentions that yes they considered too a trip their first class, but decided against it because of all the dodgy crooks over there....... so they ll be going somewhere more upscale.I get to meet illustrious fellow and his filipina and like idiot I am I seem to pay twice for the experience, (once in listening to all the ways he is richer than me and 99% of the UK and secondly by being stuck with the bill). Much later on I hear, he asked his wife, to ask my gf, 'What does Genius do ? Where does he get his money from?', so I reckon I was a future target, if things hadnt caught up with him so quick. Whilst all this is going on various filipina relatives are starting to agitate for their loans to be paid back. So wife, has to sell farm land back in province she inherited. Then he needs new car, because the bank transfer is being held up from america, so she has to clear out the education fund for her child from previous boyfriend now off the scene (supposedly). Then mother in law goes ballistic. They move out of house (not the gated one, that hasnt materialised, the normal pinay one she was in), and move to hotel to avoid mother in law. So they move to hotel, (laptop of her own and engagement ring he bought her goes to fund hotel). So basically carries on until every possible source of funds is barren as his morality. At this point wife, begs him to leave her. He has no money he says. They are in love he says. Eventually, convinces him to go. This involves visit to Embassy for a ticket home. At which point, Wife gets back to chap who she left before, and now the question of anulling the marriage comes up. Guess what he Husband says ?''I still want to be with you, I still love you.'' but if you want my permission for the annullment, ''Send me $2,000''. So it's not always the filipina who does the dirty. The whole thing upset me because of how it makes my gf view foreigners, she is half convinced that australians only marry pinays to insure them and then kill them in Oz, so this American now makes her think all yanks are fantasists''., lucky for me I m neither Oz or American and she knows I m a fantasist, but not in those ways.Ho ho ho!

Great story and I heard a similar one recently about a low life who moved in and mooched off his lady and family while telling them stories and waiting for his disability claim to be approved. There are many scammers on both sides of the fence and your story about marrying and bringing a wife back to a country and then killing her for the insurance is known all over the Philippines and my wife's family said the same thing to me. The were demanding that I marry her and then she could come over on a fianc

Hi Ms Sampaguita!CHEERS for your post! :th_thsmilies-29057:This is the very reason why I never have introduce any of my families and friends to a foreigner! I think nowadays, it is all about the "I owe it to you" relationships, where the foreigner will start sending money to the girl even without seeing her first as long as they communicate online via the "yahoo messenger" or whatever! YES! there are foreigners who send as much as 500 to 1000 dollars a month to a girl they never have meet in person! I think this is what slowly damages the image of our cross cultural relationships! It became so commercial that a Filipina who is in dire need to escape the poverty that she is in would find it hard to RE-EVALUATE! It is so sad, but I often times heard that the Filipina have everything to loss and nothing to gain if she will not bear with the caprices of "her" foreigner! :th_hu:Would this prove that the value and dignity of the Filipina is decaying too? :lmao:
