New Us $100 Bills In Circulation

So I saw my first new $100 bill the other day.

 I am leery of using these for exchange in the Phil. Has anyone seen these in the Phil yet? Does anyone know if the banks are up to date on their knowledge of these bills?

Almost 3 months ago we received the new $100 from our bank when we did our monthly transactions ..... however for the past 2 months it's the old bills again .... I must say the new bills are not what we are used to .... it's pretty colorful

 

I was expecting to see a different portrait on the $100 but it hasn't happened YET .....  :mocking:  :mocking:  :mocking:

We brought the new $100 bills for our recent trip to Manila trip. No problem exchanging them for pesos. We only use money changers because they give a slightly better rate.

 

The unusual colors are part of the many additional new safety features to prevent counterfeiting. It's to prevent duplication using a color copier.

Must say I've only ever seen real US bills once and a bit of color in the new ones sure looks like an improvement.
