Approving Of "toyota Mt" Modifications

(I will probably not need car any much concerning total driving distance per month, but inconvinient to not have any when living rurak, so a cheap car as a Toyota MT can be enough.)

I know many Totota MTs ARE miodified ILLEGAL (with extra lights and such) without anyone bother - when Filipins do it  :)  - but I wonder how to make modifications LEGAL.

There excist Toyota MTs, which are EXACT as I want them, BUT they are very rare, so I thought of buying "any" Toyota MT and CHANGE it to how I want it.

Anyone knowing IF these types of modifcations need any action to make it legal?  :

ALL of them are just "standard" things, which some Toyota MTs HAVE.

1. change to 4 WD ?

2,   > automatic gearbox ?

3,   > hardtop with doors ?

4,  replace engine  (IF it's bad.)

If so

Get approval by which establishment?

Any hint of time needed to be approved and fees?

Thomas, I would hazard a guess that all the modifications will need to be reported to LTO, Like most countries, The Construction and Use  part of the law will come in, you may well need a new Registration Certificate to amend the original.  Looking up the LTO Website I am sure, will tell you more.

Had one of those trucks in Canada... Kept my driveway clear but it cost me a fortune in beer to drive like that! :D
