ITGeek Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I'll be moving there in April/May 2016 to be with my wife, who is from Talavera. Hoping to get some insight to life there as an expat.
manofthecoldland Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 If you want a response, it might make it easier to others who'd like to assist, if you could mention the island and province these places are located in since they are not on most ex-pats' radars.
Lost Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I lived on the outskirts of Cabanatuan for about 6 months and I may have seen a foreigner twice the entire time. I was only there for training at the military base, otherwise, I can't see why an expat would live there. It had the isolated feeling of the province with the traffic and crowding of a big city. It’s only redeeming quality IMO was the cheap street side rotisserie chickens and bukos for 20p, oh and the best cassava cake I've had. The new SM mall is open so maybe things are more interesting there now.
