An Other One Return's Back To England

Plan ,plan and then plan again and after that do more planinig.

A person has just come back to England after being there for just over a year.

Yes there was very good reasons why ,but surely after selling everything you have ever owned to move thousands of miles away you would have thought ,well let's just try it for a year or so before I jump in feet first.

A few of the reasons was the heat and the food.

Well at least he had a go,just hope he has enough to get back to some sort of living here agai

been here since 2011 wish we could have come here a lot sooner !

might just be me but the Philippines is Paradise !

yes its a poor country and everywhere you look you can see poverty !

But the Filipino people are used to poverty and they get on with life with a smile.

The UK I will never go back to ! its cheaper for me to fly my UK family here

than it is for me and the wife to go there !!

Yes the Philippines is hot ! and the food ? well I have been here since 2011 

and we eat well. chicken-fish-beef-etc etc and veggies.

life is good !

When well known expat, Bob Martin, moved to the Philippines with his family he and his wife decided they would stay for at least 5 years no matter what. While I am sure there were times they were unsure, that commitment eliminated the knee jerk reactions of someone who arrives and doesn't adjust immediately.

 

I like his idea and my wife and I intend to make a similar commitment.

Even a very basic plan would be better than no plan at all. You should always try something  before you buy.Some people don`t and they get on fine but others like this chap find they are not happy and they have basically cut all their previous ties so have nothing to go back to.
