Philippine Boat House

My wife took our paddle boat across the water, from the small island where I am presently building a mariculture hatchery, to get some refreshments and snacks yesterday. She saw this little house boat docked there, we had seen it at a distance but we thought it was just another lobster hut built on stilts. The owner had towed it over to the little town and tied it to the pier. It was her understanding that they were using the house boat as a cottage rental. I know some members live in areas were this could be a nice little business enterprise. Building a series of these in resort areas for rental would seem like a reasonable venture which would be relatively low cost to build. I was happy that my wife made the trip and had her cell phone so she could take photos. I decided to post it here as it might be of interest to more than just a few members as there are a lot of places to put one of more of these for a wide rage of usages. After all, how cool is this?

For a fun day out on the water this could be fine,

One one of our holidays at Panglao you do see lots of great boats coming in , the large dive boats that come right into the shore, there was one that was done out like a live in house boat, it did look fantatstic and i could imagine traveling the island and just enjoying the days doing nothing ,

But i bet it would cost a pretty penny too

I take it you have not had a ride on one of the local banka boats?  It goes where you think it goes and no secret is made of it.

We have boats like that in Estonia, but they are usually floating Saunas. Its a fun thing to rent and have a boys night out ?.
