Mike S Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 If you are married to a Filipina she can apply to Phil-Health and enroll you as a dependent ....... their card is one of the few that is excepted in most hospitals here in the Phils ....... who told you that health care was expensive here in the Phils???? ........ I found that just the opposite is true compared to the US ...... not sure what you pay in Oz ...... I saw a kidney specialist last year and the office visit was 350p ........ complete lab work at the hospital was 1005p the ultrasound was 2500p ....... Call me bubba Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Philhealth is the local government insurance, its better than nothing at all.and the cost of only 1200php a year (2400 php starting july2012 pending government approval or denial) now its available to all who is living here, (certain conditions may apply) www.philhealth.gov.ph Blue Cross.Medicard ,Maxicare I-care and HMI are some of the insurance providers It has been said many times in this Forum That Blue Cross has very good if not outstanding Customer serviceAlso consider just having extra cash so you can self-insure yourself Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
