I am getting some unconfirmed reports about a Shooting in the "Metro Bank" in Dumaguete yesterday. It appears that one of the guards shot & killed his Partner over a misunderstood Joke as soon as I can get some reliable information i will Post.

Anyone with a shot gun in hand automatically gets my respect here.

"a black joke was reportedly uttered"

I have heard of people getting killed in the USA over uttering black jokes in the wrong part of town but I did not think people here were so racially hypersensitive, unless a black joke means something else entirely over here.

Jack not so sure Dumaguete can correctly be referred to as gentle. Many years ago sure how ever this is long gone.

It's now a very busy small to mid sized city which brings  it's own problems. Perhaps the appauling state of the traffic also takes the humor out of many people there.

The Filipino with the gun was probably sensitive to his color as dark skin here is looked down upon from the Filipino perspective or so I read somewhere. Or perhaps it means something different altogether. :89:

Most likely a bad joke...time was off and before he could explain his joke or maybe he tried and 5 minutes into explanation, not able to stop the bleeding from his nose shoot in self defense.

Yeah that could happen.

In the last 2 years I have heard of quite a few locals being shot in Negros, when I say quite a few it is more than we would hear about where I come from in the UK,So I am not sure if the number is high.
