expatuk2014 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 YES its election time here in the Philippines, Posters everywhere trucks and cars etc blasting out music from 6am every day ! Now then where we live we rarely see the mayor, and if you do manage to get an appointment hes not happy ! Funny thing is this year there is a new police station being built, a new disaster evacuation centre, Barangay halls being revamped and rebuilt etc nothing new for the past 3 years ! Forum Support Popular Post Mike J Posted May 2, 2019 Forum Support Popular Post Posted May 2, 2019 About 10 or 12 years ago we bought land and built a house for my wife's parents to spend the remaining portion of their "golden years". They moved into the house in April and were overjoyed to be living in a beautiful new house with 1200 meters of land. In May Papa ask my wife if they could go back to their old house and live their for a week or so. My wife was shocked and asked why would they want to go back, were they missing their neighbors?
