Welcome to the forum Cris13.

Hard to answer you question. You would have to decide which one is cheaper and how soon do you need it.

Since you’re looking for a Mac, I believe Apple offers free standard shipping via their partner in Singapore. You can order direct from them. Or you can visit one of their stores in metro Manila and I think there’s also one in Cebu (pre Covid it was in Ayala mall).

Note: Items sent from overseas with a declared value over 10k pesos are subject to import taxes. You can search the forum for more info about that as there was recently a discussion here about it. Google is also your friend. The only thing I’ve ordered direct from Apple was a new mag-safe charger for my laptop and that fell under the import tax threshold.

Welcome to the forum.  I would suggest to browse Lazada.com and see what they have to offer.  Beware of any offers that seem too good to be true.

And you can check availability in stores before looking/doing  for anything else.

Other day was looking for new Ipad mini 256.. First go to Abensons.. do you have?

"No we have every model except that Sir"

Digital walker same. Switch store.. they have on display.. but no stock... "so why have on display if no stock ? " blank look

Power Mac.. Display model only. "So why have on display if you dont have stock". more blank looks.

Apple online.. states one business day delivery. Except when you buy as I did, delivery becomes 13 days.

Lazada had some very strangely priced items including Beyond the Box , sold same item, EXACT same specs for P44999 and 54 998 ?  Go figure that one out.

Nothing is ever straightforward here.

Unless you're looking for something niche I'm not sure why a local store wouldn't be better assuming you have some.

Based on the potential issues with shipping,  warranty, repair etc an online purchase would be my least- favored option for expensive electronics unless I had no choice.

Last March, I went to an Apple store in Makati out of curiosity and to compare prices with the United States.  At least for this brand, the prices are slightly higher which I assume is due to importation costs and VAT.  It might be better to buy in the Philippines than asking a friend in Spain to make a purchase.  There is also the issue of warrantee in the event something is wrong.

Yes, importing an Apple will be huge for duties, taxes and fees.  I just checked Amazon.  Apple i5 $1549.  Deposit for shipping and import fees $934!
