CCTV Footage Captures Two Men Before Grenade Attack in Angeles Subdivision

Authorities in Angeles City are investigating a grenade-throwing incident in Savannah Subdivision, Barangay Cuayan, after CCTV footage showed two men repeatedly passing by the same street prior to the explosion.

Based on the footage reviewed by the Savannah Homeowners Association, the two men were seen walking along the street several times before the October 24 incident. At first, they appeared to be observing and recording the area. Minutes later, the same individuals were captured riding a motorcycle that closely matched the one used in the grenade attack.

The video also showed the suspects stopping at a street corner, where they stayed for several minutes. While waiting, they were seen buying and eating balut from a vendor nearby. Afterward, they mounted their motorcycle again and drove toward the direction of the house — moments before the grenade was thrown.

Authorities from Police Station 5 and the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) confirmed that the explosive used was a modern type of hand grenade. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.

Investigators have already coordinated with Barangay Cuayan officials, who found additional CCTV footage showing the suspects heading toward Barangay Anunas after the explosion. The balut vendor also told police she could recognize the two men if shown their photos.

Police continue to gather evidence and are pursuing leads to identify and locate the suspects behind the attack.
