Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted Tuesday at 07:42 PM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 07:42 PM She comes up to me this morning and shows me some books, saying "Show me which ones I can throw out because you have way too many books" I said "Start with which bags and shoes and clothes you can throw out because you have way too many of those." And then the fight started. 1 13
JJReyes Posted Tuesday at 08:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:39 PM Isn't she supposed to start the day by wishing you, "Good Morning!" 1
Popular Post fototek1 Posted Tuesday at 09:20 PM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 09:20 PM I am guessing the morning caffeine hadn't kicked in or you may have said "Whoa, books are sacred ground đ but Iâm open to thinning the herd. I am sure you feel the same way about the shoes and bags." My wife has been collecting jade bangle jewelry for about a year now, and Iâve triedâvery politelyâto point out that she may have reached âcritical mass.â It hasnât turned into a fight, but I do occasionally get the Filipina look that clearly says, âYouâre being annoying.â 2

Guy F. Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM (edited) When we were downsizing several tears ago my wife threw out a box of slides (photographic type) without consulting me, thus eliminating documentation of my life before we were married. I didn't realize that box was missing for some time. I realized it was gone forever years later. I think she did it because of suspicion that I had pictures of past girlfriends. We are still together but I will never forgive or forget. I am not Jesus and I don't have Alzheimers. Edited to add: Thankful for this forum giving me an opportunity to vent a little Edited Tuesday at 10:20 PM by Guy F. 4 1

Absolutely. She does not read anything that is not on her social media aps so in her mind its just taking up space. But for me, its a collection. 4

I feel your pain, whilst not an identical situation my ex wife threw out my photo albums and a box of photographs (photos of me, my parents, my siblings and older relatives that were in the house) after I moved out and sought divorce. I managed to get copies of a few photos from my sister before she passed but the vast majority are gone for good. The judge was completely uninterested when this was raised at the property settlement.

Freebie Posted Wednesday at 01:32 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:32 AM I had a cute filipina with me last weekend. When she saw my book cupboard she started smiling and asking if she could read some. I happily agreed. She left the next morning with 4 books. Not he fierst time thats happened. I buy from thrift stores in UK where they are cheap as chips and often in perfect condition. .

Shoes and clothes come and go-----books can provide a lifetime of enjoyment. 1
