Ok so yeah, this just happened in the condo literally right above us.   My sister in law was taking out the garbage exactly as this was going on.  When she was coming up the steps to our condo, there were "A LOT" of police not in uniform, some wearing masks bringing suspects, in handcuffs, right by her.    Great place to raise a family

 Apparently a payoff, or a lack of Piso's in the chain was not there, or a power struggle in the chain or jealousy etc. It's not like their operating on, or following the rule of law. I'm pretty sure in Philippines it's "Piso" in Mexico it's "Peso". These types of "Ang Salitang" operations happen everywhere, all the time, it's human nature, white, black, brown, yellow, doesn't matter. There are no special investigative, special op's units targeting illegal activities, there are, but just on paper. Bottom line, "money talks, bullshit walks" or "I'm gonna get that motherf_cker one way or another" cause he's making more money than me" and I'll dime him out, among a plethora of other reasons in the underworld operations. When one lives here long enough, you get the picture pretty quick, a realistic view of how things operate here. If you think it's all unicorns and rainbows and everything is"honky dory" here, I'd like to try what you're smoking or snorting, I'm mean it's all good, we all want peace and order and to live a good life, but "along with the sunshine, there's gotta be a little rain sometime". I've heard many a Christians say, "This life on earth is living in hell". Peace out,  fellow Expats and Filipino's ,,✌️
