Jollygoodfellow Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 What could this possible achieve?Two injured in attack on Philippine school for handicappedAttackers hurled a grenade at a school for handicapped children in the southern Philippines on Friday, wounding two people, the police and military spokesmen said.Two men on a motorcycle threw the grenade at the school in the southern city of Davao, injuring a security guard and a deaf-mute student, they said. The motive for the attack was still unknown.The southern Philippines has been the scene of a recent rash of bomb attacks that has claimed numerous lives.Some of the attacks have been carried out by Muslim extremists while others have been blamed on politicians allegedly trying to eliminate rivals ahead of the upcoming national elections in May.Elections in the Philippines are frequently marred by violence with political warlords using hired thugs to intimidate voters and other candidates.
