Art2ro Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) Not a very far fetched scenario huh, it may be a reality in just a few years from now.Even though our planet is covered in 75% of our ocean, only 3% of it is fresh clean water for our entire population! So, what's the solution? Yesterday evening, I was watching the National Geographic channel and came upon a documentary about just that! There's this inventor by the name of Dean Kamen with 150 patents and he has invented and built a portable water purifier called the "Sling Shot". I won't go into this at any length, but below are the links you can check out, watch and read for yourselves. If the "Sling Shot" water purifier was available in stores today, I would buy one if it was affordable! But for now, I can still afford bottled water delivered to our home weekly and will pass on the $1,300 price tag of the portable water purifier, but I would still consider buying one if the price was reduced in the near future! I will be keeping my eye out for it! This subject concerning available clean drinking water in the Philippines concerns me, because a lot of the natural underground spring water in the Philippines are are getting contaminated and there's not enough water or sewage treatment plants in every municipality through out the Philippines! All the piss and crap is just flowing out into rivers, channels and out into the ocean! How EKO friendly is that???
