I have a friend coming to visit me next month & he is looking for some action as he puts it & he did not mean sex :17403: & I do not have the foggiest what casinos might be good ones to send him to. I will ask him to tell me more of what he is looking for but I think he is likes the full gambit of them all cuz I know he likes to go to Las Vegas & New Jersey often so he was wondering if they play black jack here & if they do then do the tables here have good odds & how the poker here works & how often the slots here pay off & are the rules different here than in the US? also wouldn't the cock fights be dangerous for a kano who does not know his way around? There are plenty of card games including blackjack and there are lots of slot machines. I doubt the payout is Vegas standard. Upstairs you'll find a poker room where you can play Texas hold'em.There is also a casino at Waterfront Airport Hotel, but it's much smaller.If he likes poker, check out Metro Card Club next to Joker's Arms in AS Fortuna - across from NASA(a now closed disco, but the taxi drivers know about it). It's perfectly safe there.As for cockfighting, you might go there for an experience but I wouldn't like to gamble there unless you have some locals knowing the system. It's very confusing. I didn't gamble but watched in amazement how this guy would go around the pit, collecting bets and money. No note taking or receipts and somehow he will remember your face and your winnings. Similar to a bus conductor in a packed bus. If you're sitting at the highest bleachers, he would just ball up the pesos and throw it at you. My immediate observation was that people around you are honest and would hand the winnings to you if his throw was off. Somehow thehonor system works -- go figure.....Manabouttown, I strongly suggest to have someone accompany you for your first visit. Basically, your bets are cooked, if you place a bet on the non surviving cock or seriously wounded. Depending on how it's cooked, I found it rather tasteful but sometimes on the less tender side.
