Mr Lee Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Glad she got out of it alive. I suspect that there is more to the story, but it should teach everyone to be careful no matter what. We always carry small bills to pay taxi fares and to try to prevent problems. I am just surprised to read that a Filipina would give a taxi driver a p1000 bill in the first place, since many taxi drivers do not make that much profit in a week and I suspect they also do not carry that much change.There used to be a scam in New York many years ago where people would give the taxi driver $100 bill for a small fare and back when $100 was a lot of money, and then when the driver did not have change, they would tell them that they would mail them a check.
