Not long after coming to the Philippines, I learned that pornography is illegal in the Philippines. I even sent Lee an email asking about it. He confirmed it as very dangerous to have sooooooooooI've always wondered where in the law it wasToday I found it. And it made me laugh. Its a Presidential decree and one must be amused that the PD number is 969. LOLOh maybe I just have not grown up yet but I love it!It was passed under Marcos. I've always wondered about how presidents in the Philippines have so much power, to me, it seems like they make law by memo. Probably, set as precedent under Marcos. I'm a bit of a law and history buff. The decree can be found at http://www.lawphil.net/statutes/presdecs/pd1976/pd_969_1976.html I was also surprised to find it is still in effect.I started to put this in the law affecting foreigners subforum but its not just foreigners. maybe it belongs there. not sure and its more about culture and life than law to me.

And then there is also this one to look out for since many Filipinas look way below their actual age RA9775 Section 3. Definition of Terms. -  (a) "Child" refers to a person below eighteen (18) years of age or over, but is unable to fully take care of himself/herself from abuse, neglect, cruelty, exploitation or discrimination because of a physical or mental disability or condition.  For the purpose of this Act, a child shall also refer to:  (1) a person regardless of age who is presented, depicted or portrayed as a child as defined herein; and  (2) computer-generated, digitally or manually crafted images or graphics of a person who is represented or who is made to appear to be a child as defined herein.
