Mr Lee Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 This card may not be for everyone yet it could help some of you who travel internationally a lot because it charges no Foreign Transactions Fees. The only catch is the annual fee, but since it gives a couple free nights in a Hyatt anywhere in the world just for using the card once, that would seem to get back your annual fee at least for the first year and then there is reward points. I wonder how many of you use a credit card while traveling internationally or while living in the Philippines and what do your credit card fees add up to for using your card? OldUgly&Cranky Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I personally dont use a credit card when travelling as a matter of fact i just paid off my last credit card last may and canceled it , i used to have 5 credit cards and i worked very very hard over 5 - 7 years to pay them all off now im debt free other then our little house in manila which isnt much a month maybe 4000 pesos for the morgage and now it seems i have a little more money every month coz im not paying for the card and intrest , as for what i use when im in the philippines debit card is enough for me the fees arent really all that bad if you compare it too the intrest rate of a credit card its prob. cheaper just to use your debit card , now im not saying having a credit card is a bad idea if you use it just for emergency's !! as for buying things online well i just use a prepaid credit card i just load it up with the amount i want to buy something and buy it online NO INTREST and i have the power of a credit card i have pre booked hotel rooms in manila online from canada with it and also sent the g/f flowers for valentines day with this pre paid card !! but if your going to have a credit card the best option would be one that has the lowest intrest rate even if the annual fee is higher , and if the offer you REAL rewards like a hotel room for a night not like that USELESS AIRMILES card you get from stores where you need 10 million points just get anything worth while !!! :thumbs-up-smile: its just my view OldUgly&Cranky Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
