Cebu and Mandaue are getting too much rain. The floods are getting worse and the rain is not letting up. Here is the story. The Mandaue City government is set to declare a state of calamity after all its 27 barangays were affected by Tuesday’s flood brought about by heavy rains. But there is no estimate yet on the damage caused by the flood which stranded several commuters and vehicles and snarled traffic in major thoroughfares of both Mandaue and Cebu cities.Damaged roads, clogged up river banks, and culverts prompted the City Disaster Coordinating Council to pass a resolution recommending to the city council to place the entire Mandaue under a state of calamity, and authorizing the release of funds and giving authority to purchase fiber glass boats, and suction pumps. more at . . .

Wow! Hope everyone will be OK. I spoke to a friend today and they said it has been continually raining in Cebu City for some time, so I would have to guess there would be a lot of flooding. sad.gif

My wife said there was some minor flooding in Talisay. She was talking to her mom on the phone and could hear the rain pounding down.
