I dont think that would be a problem,I'm sure other countrys or aid groups would foot the bill if it meant eradicating the problem.I did see something on the news the other night about this and what I remember is that once a mosquito is infected then it gets carried on from one generation to the next causing a short life span for the mossies, problem solved.

I actually met with Bill Gates twice introducing high level Government officials to him. He is serious about helping the world with his billions, but that does not make Microsoft have more of a heart though!http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2...umbrellapr.mspxGreat news on the Dengue issue for sure!

Just thinking about this some more,I dont think anything is sprayed. Its a matter of releasing Lab mossies to breed with wild mossies.

Hmm . . . wonder how easy it will be to convince Filipinos to allow foreign scientists let loose a few thousand 'short-life' mosquitos on their land. And . . I'm getting an uneasy feeling, remembering how African bees were let loose in America to breed with the local bees . . I think they call them 'killer bees'So my mind is wandering on a flight of fancy . . maybe, thousands of years ago, alien scientists did the same thing to us? Found a way to reduce our lifespan from Methuselah's 900 years to our current 75 or so. This way we don't live long enough to travel to their solar system and infect them with our diseases.
