He said that Capitol employees will be observing the 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. work schedule starting next month.The new policy, which was discussed and agreed upon by all department heads during their first meeting after the long holiday, is meant to increase productivity and efficiency in the delivery of public services.

Anybody know what hours the employees work now? If they're making this change by increasing the number of hours per day the employees are required to work, I wouldn't expect to see much of a productivity increase.
