Some members do not wish to see negative posts and Inspector had posted some of the things he found to be good about the Philippines, I would like others to post the good things they like and feel about the Philippines, that they cannot find back in their own countries. Lets leave out the ladies because that is a given. MikeB had said the beauty of the country, I have also found a lot of beautiful places traveling around the US, so different strokes for different folks but whatever positives you see or feel about the Philippines, please post them so members can have a balance against the negative things posted.

Here's a few positives...many based for Davao CityCheap maidsCheap massagesPinays are so happy and always smilingIf you take the time to actually meet the pinoys here, and they can speak some English...many of them are extremely niceThe Jesus church of Davao is on TV...and if you get a chance to watch it, you will see some of the greatest music played here. I'm talking rock, blues and knee slapping country. I might start going...Renting a good dealCheap taxi cabsSome of the nicest beaches in the world...many undiscovered.Safe city...far safer then many places in New York City

Here's a guy name Colin from Palawan ,who's a shutter bug and is on quite a few forums and provides his photo gallery on Flicker for all to enjoy of the nice people and beautiful places in the Philippines. Pictures just expresses more than what one can put into words! http://www.flickr.co.../c-reader/sets/ Edited by Art2ro

I agree about the cheap massages, maids and taxisFor tourists, the Philippines has- whale and dolphin watching- diving- snorkelling- historical sites- white sandy beaches,- hot springs- cold springs- waterfalls- volcanoes- tarsier sanctuaries- butterfly sanctuaries- crocodile sanctuaries- wildlife sanctuaries- marine sanctuariesIt also has- locals living as their ancestors have done for hundreds of years in places such as Malapascua Island- Faith healers on Siquijor- Chocolate hills, lunch cruises on the Loboc River and swimming underground in the Hinagdanan cave on Bohol- An underground river on Palawan- Hanging coffins in Sagada- Ancient rice terraces in Banaue- White water rafting near Cagayan de Oro- Swimming with whale sharks near Donsol- Surfing from Siargo IslandOn top of that, there are- casinos- multiple locations for enjoying night life- some of the largest shopping malls in the world with entertainment such as Imax theatres, ice skating and ten pin bowling.Regards: Jim

Once again Big Jim, you have come through with excellent suggestions about how to enjoy life inthe Philippines. If I could only visit just one tenth of what you have already visited, I would be ahappy camper. You website: http://www.bigjimsphilippinesexperience.com/ really pops with vividcolor and promotes the adventurous spirit. Thank you sir -- JakePS -- excellent beer commercial Dan! That cold bottle stood proud and erect!

Thanks Jake. Much of what I learned about Philippines and useful practical advice was from Big Jim and Perry Gamsby.
