My wife is very good at pronouncing English words correctly but I just remembered one word that I always hear her and the sales girls say when I'm with her while she is shopping for clothes.  In stead of saying medium they all say me jum.  Somehow the d becomes a j.  "Do you have this shirt in a mejum?"  "Sorry ma'am mejum is out of stock."   I got to remember to teach her how to say it correctly.

Oh, I just remembered another one.  Instead of saying ma'am they say mum.

Mum do you want a mejum?

Not sure but I think the Suzuki Jimny was a copy and mispronounciation of the GMC Jimmy, a style of carryall vehicle. Unless someone knows of the actual meaning of Jimny?

Jimny is a cousin to the Jeepney but no relation to the chimney, even though it sounds the same.
