Buy Or Rent?

Like most of the suggestions, I intend to rent first till we are more sure before considering a purchase. However, I wonder how rents are moving upwards. How do landlords hit you up for more rent? As others point out if you get bad neighbors, you can move. But if you move after a year or two, do you find that rents have changed considerably.

The influx of foreigners is the biggest factor driving up prices. Apartments for rent for p25k in provincial towns, what local would be crazy enough to pay that, even if they could? The owners will charge as much as they can or think they can.
