Working Legally In The Philippines?

"Working under the table" means not reporting employment or paying taxes... In other words, working illegally.

An author can claim as working from his home country without an appropriate work visa for the Philippines OR can have the appropriate visa and claim the Philippines as the country of work. The first option is usually easier and better for most of us... Ie: Canada has a 3% royalty tax for income on artistic endeavors if living outside Canada but claiming your income as Canadian. Also considering banking and financial transaction, it's better at home.

"Working under the table" means

Could it also mean a hooker who orally applies her trade right there in the bar.  Would it be 'telling' to say I have known such a lady who works "under the table"?

   :541:
