Jollygoodfellow Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 It seems that you are suggesting it is quite an effort to make a Mayday call (as in taking a break is needed) but the protocol seems to be: What I'm suggesting is none of us know what happened at this stage, could it be lighting hit and blew the windscreen out incapacitating all the crew in the cockpit? Easy to say protocol is this and that but something happened up there that might have caused an impossible task of calling a mayday.
