Popular Post expatuk2014 Posted August 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2015 I had the same thing happen to us a while back we were on a " Blood run to Pagsanjan " during the late evening had to wait for the blood to be checked etc so we went into an eatery ( 35 mins ) came out and the battery was dead !! this was a regular occurance but sorted now a Tri-Cycle driver saw our problem told us to wait and he came back with the local Mechanic with a Battery and jump leads and we were soon on our way ! we gave them money for a meal in the eatery which he refused but I insisted !! just imagine it back in the UK having to wait for ages after phoning for help and then being told as your not a member sir you will need to join first !!
Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted August 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2015 I can identify with what you are saying. In rural areas where I go walking I often get asked if I will accept a free ride as they think I either have no money or forgot it at home. Lots of good people here. They do understand a little bit when I tell them I am exercising. At least they do until they realize that my exercise is a 10km to 20 km walk. Then they look at me like I am mad

Popular Post frosty (chris) Posted August 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2015 Last week after a night of heavy rain had to take my big blue water bottles over to the refill station, I decided to walk and just outside the sub division was like a swimming pool after all the rain, calf deep, was standing there wondering if I should go and get the car when one of the tricycle drivers we use saw me and pulled in the S.D. told me to jump on board, drove me to the station and back home again, I only had 40 pesos for the water, he said no problem, smiled and left.
Popular Post i am bob Posted August 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2015 For all the above and those to follow - it's amazing how, when in need, those who are generally good people will find good people willing to help and for those who are bad will only find the bad... Not every time but if you total up the numbers, the scale will lean that way at the end of the day! :D

Popular Post Kuya John Posted August 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2015 I find in general, the less people have the more they are willing to share. And that's the world over. It's nice to wake up to some good news for a change. So Jack, your morning cycle ride for that reason did us both some good.
mogo51 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Great case of Filipinos showing generosity to us poor westerners in distress. I hope the beer was nice and cold Jack and they went down well.
